Longbowmen

Some rank and file troops as a break from their noble peers - I often find that I tend to swap painting rotation between cavalry and infantry so here's the latest to be completed.

First up, a unit of archers, the first to include a couple of bearded yeomanry and second an arquebusier or 'hagbutter' as they were referred by the English. He has had some green stuff treatment to give some more interest and bring him into 1513.

I'm also quite pleased with the photographs too - these are courtesy of my garden 'studio'.

  1. Great looking figures. Just curious but what greenstuff changes did you make to the hagbutter?

    1. Cheers Matt, I added a feather to his cap and sculpted some slashed hose over his tights.
