Yeoman no.2

By way of a short progress report, here we have the full complement of Yeomen as Sir Richard Carew's bodyguard, again a little bit of green stuff in preparation, this time I wanted to get as close as I could to the painting of the previous post in modelling some feathers as part of the uniform. There are now only two figues left to complete for this base so I'll save the complete picture for when they're all based up beneath Carew's standard.

Worthy of a notable mention also is my recent acquisition of my wife's old iphone (as a bonus to her quest to have the latest gadgets I get her cast off's!) which has opened me up to a whole world I was only previously vaguely aware of, that of podcasts, and there is a wealth of podcasts dedicated to history, the 'soundtrack' to my recent work has been a series of three lectures hosted by the British Library by David Starkey which were done as part of the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's coronation. Best of all, they're free!

So, if you'd like a bit of background to this campaign or an insight into Henry's reign in general, why not download them and have a listen;

As I've mentioned King Hal and he hasn't seen the light of day for a while here's some mock ups of him and
his retinue in the field;

Happy Easter All !
